关于地图
Zaxo Map Poster & Print
Zaxo lies in the far north of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, near the borders with Turkey and Syria. From above, the city stretches along both banks of the Khabur River, in a valley with steep ridges to the north and south. The streets follow the valley floor, and newer districts spread out along the main roads leading toward the border crossing.
The city's best-known landmark is the Delal Bridge, a tall, arched stone bridge over the Khabur whose exact age is debated. Zaxo is also the Iraqi side of the region's main land route to Turkey, and the road traffic through the Ibrahim Khalil crossing nearby has shaped its growth as a trading town.
A Zaxo map poster centres on the river. The Khabur winds through the frame, the city gathers on its banks, and the surrounding high ground leaves only a few open edges. The contrast between the dense river valley and the empty slopes around it gives the print a strong, clear outline.

Delal Bridge
A single, steeply arched stone bridge crosses the Khabur. It is small on the map but it is the city's most recognisable landmark and its symbol.
Valley setting
Mountain ridges rise north and south of the city, which keeps the built-up area long and narrow along the valley floor and the roads.
