关于地图
Zhuyi Map Poster & Print
Zhuyi is in eastern Chongqing, in the mountainous region around the Yangtze and its Three Gorges. The land here is almost entirely slope. On a map the town squeezes its streets onto whatever level ground is available, and roads zigzag uphill in switchbacks. Contour-heavy terrain surrounds the settlement on all sides.
Since the Three Gorges Dam raised the level of the Yangtze, many towns in this region have been rebuilt higher up the valley sides. That is one reason so many of their streets are stacked in terraces and connected by winding roads.
A Zhuyi map poster turns a steep, difficult site into a clear graphic. Streets follow the contours, main roads loop back and forth to gain height, and the built-up area forms a narrow band with rugged country beyond it. It is a good print for anyone who likes landscape to lead the design.

Switchback roads
Roads zigzag uphill to gain height, and their tight, repeating bends are among the most striking lines on the sheet.
Mountain frame
Steep, folded terrain surrounds the town, so the settlement sits like a thin ribbon in a large landscape.

为什么选 Zhuyi
一张有意义的地图
The Three Gorges region has changed dramatically, and for many families the town they knew has been moved or rebuilt. A map of Zhuyi captures the place as it is now and keeps a record of home.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, and there are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files cost $9, and printed posters ship with an optional wooden frame.
