Railway loop
The approach to the High Bridge circles part of the town in a wide loop so trains can climb high enough to cross the canal, a distinctive curve on the map.

Rendsburg Map Poster & Print
Rendsburg sits in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein, where the Eider river once formed a natural crossing and where the Kiel Canal, one of the world's busiest artificial waterways, now passes the town. On the map, water surrounds the historic core: the old town began on an island in the Eider, and the canal runs just to the south as a broad straight channel.
The Rendsburg High Bridge, a steel railway bridge completed in 1913, carries trains high over the canal. To gain height, the line swings through a great loop around part of the town, a shape easy to spot from above. Beneath the bridge hangs a transporter ferry, a rare type of crossing that carries people and vehicles across the canal on a suspended platform.
A Rendsburg map poster shows all of this in one frame: the dense old town, the baroque Neuwerk district with its central square, the Eider and its harbour, the straight line of the canal and the railway loop curving around the edge. Few towns of this size have a street plan so clearly shaped by engineering.

Kiel Canal
The broad straight waterway runs past the town, linking the North Sea and the Baltic and cutting a firm line across the landscape.
Neuwerk district
A planned baroque quarter laid out around a large central square sits beside the older, more irregular streets of the original island town.

Ship watchers, railway enthusiasts and anyone who grew up on the canal will recognise the town from its shape alone. A map of Rendsburg makes a fine gift for someone who loves engineering, or a reminder of watching ships pass beneath the bridge.
Add your own title and subtitle, a date or a personal note, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the bridge and canal particularly well. HD files are $9 with no watermark.
