Winding approaches
The roads into Badou curve with the hills instead of cutting across them. Their bends give the composition a relaxed, hand-drawn quality.

El mapa
Badou Map Poster & Print
Badou lies in Togo's Plateaux Region, near the border with Ghana, in some of the country's most wooded and hilly land. On a map, the streets are not arranged in a strict grid. They bend and branch as the ground rises and falls, and the roads out of town follow valleys rather than straight lines.
The surrounding area is known for its forested hills and for the Akloa waterfall, which people visit on foot from the town. The climate and terrain have long supported cocoa and coffee growing. For a mapmaker, this means a small built core surrounded by winding tracks that disappear into green country.
A Badou map poster works because of that contrast between the settled centre and the loose, organic lines around it. In black and white, the relief can only be read through the roads, and they are expressive enough to suggest it. The print has a clear heart and plenty of movement at the edges.

The Ghanaian frontier runs close by, and this corner of the Plateaux Region is shaped by cross-border routes and farming land.
Waterfall trails
Paths out of town lead toward the Akloa falls in the forested hills. They show up as faint lines reaching into the quiet surroundings.

Por qué Badou
Un mapa con significado
A map of Badou is for people with ties to western Togo who want the town's shape on their wall. That includes those who grew up among its hills and those who travelled there to walk to the falls. It is a modest subject, but it makes a graceful print.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so the poster can carry a family name or a meaningful year. There are five styles to choose from, including warm Sand and dark Noir. A free 900 px watermarked preview lets you check the layout before you buy.
