El mapa
Baikunthpur sits in the upland north of Chhattisgarh, the headquarters town of Koriya district. From above it reads as a modest cluster of streets set within a much larger landscape of wooded hills, small streams and scattered fields. The built area is small enough that its edges show clearly on the map, with roads reaching out from the centre toward surrounding villages and district towns.
The town was once the seat of the princely state of Korea, which gave the present district its name, and that role as an administrative centre still shapes its layout. Government offices, markets and residential lanes sit close together, while the countryside begins within a short distance. On paper, the contrast between the dense core and the open terrain beyond gives the composition a quiet, balanced feel.
A Baikunthpur map poster keeps that proportion intact: a tight knot of lines in the middle, thinner roads drifting outward, and the pale space of hills and forest around them. In black and white, the town becomes a clear drawing of how a small hill-country centre relates to the land it serves, without any decoration beyond the streets themselves.
The central streets form a dense, irregular cluster where the market, offices and older neighbourhoods meet, reading as the darkest part of the print against the open land around it.
Routes leave the town in several directions toward neighbouring settlements, bending with the terrain rather than following a grid, which gives the outer map a loose, branching pattern.
Koriya district is largely upland and wooded, so the space beyond the town edge stays mostly open on the map, framing the settlement with generous empty margins.
