El mapa

Baymak Map Poster & Print

Baymak lies in the south-east of Bashkortostan, on the eastern side of the southern Urals, in the valley of the Tanalyk River. From above, the town shows a clear, regular plan of blocks and streets. Industrial areas and open steppe hills sit at its edges.

The town grew around copper and gold mining, and the Baymak copper smelter shaped its development in the twentieth century. On the map, that history appears in large industrial footprints, rail spurs and worked land at the edge of town. The residential grid is steady and orderly, with long streets and apartment blocks.

The landscape around Baymak combines river valley, open steppe and the low ridges of the Trans-Ural region, with lakes scattered across the wider area. A Baymak map poster captures a town shaped by what lies underground, with the calm curve of the Tanalyk running beside it.

01

Tanalyk River

The river runs past the town and its reservoir, bringing a soft, winding line to the edge of the regular street plan.

02

Industrial edge

Mining and smelting sites form large, angular footprints at the edge of town, a visible record of Baymak's copper-mining origins.

03

Trans-Ural steppe

Open grassland and low ridges surround the settlement, so the town stands out as a compact, well-defined shape on the map.
