Bocşa Map Poster & Print

Bocşa lies in Caraş-Severin County in western Romania, in the Bârzava river valley, where the Banat plain begins to rise toward the Semenic Mountains. The town was formed by joining older settlements on either side of the river, and on a map it still reads as a long, linear place following the valley floor.

The streets run mainly along the river and main road, with shorter lanes climbing the slopes on either side. The hills close in around the town, and the map shows how the built-up area narrows where the valley does. Bocşa has a long history of iron working, dating back to the eighteenth century, and old industrial sites mark parts of the valley.

A Bocşa map poster follows this valley shape from end to end: the river at the centre, the parallel streets, the side lanes and the open ground on the hills. It is a quiet, well-proportioned composition, typical of Banat's mountain-edge towns, where industry and small farms have long existed side by side.

01

Bârzava river

The river runs through the length of the town, a central line with streets and houses arranged along both banks.

02

Two joined towns

Bocşa grew from separate settlements on opposite sides of the valley, still visible as distinct clusters linked by the main road.

03

Valley slopes

Short lanes climb the hillsides, and the built-up area thins where the ground rises, giving the map a narrow, elongated outline.
