Valley streets
The town's streets stretch along the valley floor, following the course of the river and giving the map an elongated, organic shape rather than a rigid grid.

El mapa
Changning Map Poster & Print
Changning is a county in the Yibin area of southern Sichuan, and its main town sits in a landscape of low hills and river valleys. The built-up area follows the flatter ground along the water, so the map shows streets stretched along valley floors rather than laid out as a single broad grid, with ridges pressing in from several sides.
This part of Sichuan is best known for the Shunan Bamboo Sea, a large area of bamboo-covered hills that spans Changning and a neighbouring county. On a map, that wider setting appears as broad, quiet ground crossed by winding mountain roads, a strong contrast to the dense grid of the town centre.
The region's rivers eventually drain toward the Yangtze, which begins its long course as the Chang Jiang near Yibin. A Changning map poster captures a town shaped by terrain, with streets following the water and the bamboo hills rising beyond, a composition that feels closer to a landscape than to a typical city plan.

Winding hill roads
Mountain roads curve out from the centre into the surrounding hills, drawing fine looping lines that show how closely the terrain governs movement here.
Bamboo country
The wider county includes part of the Shunan Bamboo Sea, and the hilly land beyond the town fills the frame with calm, lightly marked space.
