Eğirdir Map Poster & Print
Eğirdir lies on the southern shore of Lake Eğirdir, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Turkey, in the Isparta province of the Lakes Region. Its shape is unusually clear on a map. The old town sits on a narrow peninsula that points north into the lake, and a causeway continues from its tip to two small islands, Can Ada and the larger Yeşilada.
Behind the peninsula, the town rises in a strip between the water and steep mountains. The streets have to follow the slopes and the shoreline instead of spreading freely. The peninsula has the remains of a castle and the older quarter, while newer neighbourhoods run along the lake edge. The surrounding area is known for apple orchards, whose plots cover much of the land beyond the town.
A Eğirdir map poster is largely a portrait of water. In black and white, the lake surrounds the peninsula and the chain of islands on three sides, and the town is a thin line of streets between the shore and the mountains. It is a strong choice for travellers who stayed on Yeşilada and for families from the region.

Castle point
The remains of a castle stand where the peninsula meets the older quarter and mark the historic centre of the town.
Between lake and mountain
Steep slopes behind the shore keep the town in a narrow band, so streets run parallel to the water.
