The southern side of the map reaches toward the forested Alborz slopes. There, roads and streams follow the terrain instead of running straight.

Fāẕelābād Map Poster & Print
Fāẕelābād lies in Golestan province in north-eastern Iran, between the wooded foothills of the Alborz range to the south and the flat, farmed plain that runs down toward the Caspian Sea. On a map the town sits on the transition between them. Roads to the north run straight across the fields, while to the south they begin to bend.
The region is one of Iran's greener corners, with rainfall and forest that set it apart from the dry interior. Towns along this corridor are linked by the main east–west road between Gorgan and the eastern parts of the province. Fāẕelābād is one of this chain of agricultural centres.
A Fāẕelābād map poster shows a compact grid of streets surrounded by field parcels and crossed by streams coming down from the hills. The regular town blocks against the irregular terrain to the south give the drawing a clear sense of place at the meeting of mountain and plain.

Caspian plain fields
To the north, the land divides into regular agricultural parcels. These form a calm, geometric pattern around the town.
Regional corridor
Fāẕelābād lies along the chain of towns linking Gorgan with eastern Golestan, and the main road forms a strong line across the map.
