El mapa
Georgetown sits on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, north of Austin along Interstate 35. On a map, the historic centre forms a compact grid of blocks around a central courthouse square. Just south of it, the North and South San Gabriel rivers join, and their winding green corridors cut clearly through the regular pattern of streets. As the county seat of Williamson County, the town has long been organised around that square.
Further out, the lines loosen. Newer neighbourhoods spread into curving streets and cul-de-sacs, and the interstate runs north to south as a hard straight line along the eastern side of the old town. To the west, Lake Georgetown shows up as a branching body of water on the North San Gabriel, with irregular shores that contrast with the orderly downtown.
Southwestern University, whose history goes back to charters granted in the 1840s, occupies a broad campus east of the square, where its open quads read as calm spaces between the blocks. A Georgetown map poster puts all of this in one frame: the grid, the two river forks, the campus and the lake, reduced to black lines on a pale ground.

The North and South San Gabriel rivers meet just south of downtown. Their tree-lined channels and the parkland along them form soft, curving bands through the city's southern side.
West of the city, a reservoir on the North San Gabriel spreads into long fingers of water between low hills. It gives the western edge of the map an irregular, organic outline.

Por qué Georgetown
For people who studied at Southwestern, raised a family near the square or recently moved to this fast-growing corner of Central Texas, the map records a specific place. The meeting of the two rivers and the neat downtown grid make a recognisable image, even without any labels.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a move-in date or a graduation year. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then order the digital HD files for $9 or a printed poster on matte paper, with a wooden frame if you want one.
