El mapa
Jhālrapātan lies in the Hadoti region of southeastern Rajasthan, a few kilometres from Jhalawar. The old town is enclosed by walls, and inside them the streets form a dense, irregular pattern of lanes. On one side the town meets the Gomti Sagar, a large lake that gives the map a wide, calm open space right next to the busiest blocks.
It is sometimes called the city of temple bells, after the many temples that once stood here. The best known is the Sun Temple, a tall, carved shrine dating to around the tenth or eleventh century. On the Chandrabhaga River nearby, older temple ruins and ghats line the banks.
A Jhālrapātan map poster shows a town arranged by water and worship. The walled core, the lake shore and the river bank each have their own texture. In black and white, the tight lanes, broad water and scattered shrines combine into a composition that feels far older than most modern street maps.
The lake presses against the edge of the old town, a large smooth shape that sets off the fine grain of the streets beside it.
The historic core stays compact inside its old boundary, with lanes twisting between temples, homes and markets.
The nearby river curves past a group of temple ruins and bathing steps, adding a second band of water to the map.

Por qué Jhālrapātan
For families from Hadoti, the map is a lasting picture of a place with deep roots. Anyone who has visited the Sun Temple or walked the lake shore will recognise the way the town sits against the water.
You can set the title and subtitle, perhaps with a name or date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand works well with the warm stone of the old town.
