El mapa
Jharsuguda in western Odisha grew up around the railway, and the tracks still define its shape on a map. The main Howrah–Mumbai line and branch lines meet here, and the town spreads out on both sides of the junction in a dense network of streets and markets.
Around it, the landscape is shaped by industry. Coal mining in the Ib valley and large plants, including an aluminium smelter, occupy big blocks of land. Their outlines stand out as large geometric shapes against the fields and villages.
The town also has its own airport, which opened to scheduled flights in 2019. A Jharsuguda map poster brings these layers together: rail lines, runway, industrial sites and the older town at the centre, all in a clear black-and-white layout.
Several lines converge in the centre and fan out in different directions. On the map the tracks form strong lines that divide the town into distinct sectors.
The airstrip lies near the town as a single straight band. It adds a sharp, clean geometric element to an otherwise dense composition.
Large plant sites and mining areas surround the town. Their broad rectangular shapes and access roads contrast with the finer street grain of the centre.

Por qué Jharsuguda
For railway families, plant workers and people who grew up here, Jharsuguda is a place defined by movement and work. A map of it records that in lines and shapes, without needing words.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a year of joining or a neighbourhood name, and adjust the coordinates. Blueprint suits the rail and industrial geometry. Classic black and white keeps it simple.
