This Kenge lies in the lower Congo region in the west of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the hilly country between Kinshasa and the Atlantic. The land is broken into rounded hills and stream valleys, and the town sits among them as a loose cluster of streets and compounds.
From above, the road network looks organic. Routes bend with the terrain, footpaths branch across the slopes toward fields, and the built-up area is sparse, interspersed with gardens and trees.
