Kivsharivka is in eastern Kharkiv Oblast, beside the Oskil River. From above, the settlement shows the planned look of a twentieth-century Ukrainian town: groups of apartment blocks set around open courtyards, a few long straight streets, and lower-density private houses on the edges.
Beyond the built-up area, the map opens into farmland, belts of trees and the broad river valley. The Oskil runs north to south through this region and shapes how the settlement is placed. The area has been hit hard by the war since 2022, which gives a map of the place a particular meaning for the people who come from there.
