Lodi is a small borough in southern Bergen County, New Jersey, a short drive west of Manhattan. It covers only a few square miles, and nearly all of it is built up. From above the map is a tight mesh of short residential streets, broken by the winding line of the Saddle River, which flows south through the borough on its way to the Passaic.
Major roads frame the town, with Route 17 and Interstate 80 both passing through or alongside it, and their ramps and interchanges add bold curves to an otherwise fine-grained plan. Lodi also has a place in popular culture: the punk band the Misfits formed here in the late 1970s, and a club on Route 17 stood in for the Bada Bing in The Sopranos.
