Brunel's railway bridge
Two broad, shallow brick arches carry the Great Western line across the Thames. On the map the bridge appears as a thin straight stroke over the river, just south of the older road crossing.

El mapa
Maidenhead sits on the west bank of the River Thames in Berkshire, and from above the river is the first thing the eye follows. It runs north to south along the town's eastern edge, split by islands, locks and backwaters, while the town centre gathers a short distance inland. Residential streets fan out west and south in loose curves, broken by commons, playing fields and the green margins that keep the Thames valley open.
Two crossings define the riverfront. The eighteenth-century road bridge carries the old Bath Road over the Thames, and just downstream Isambard Kingdom Brunel's railway bridge spans the water on two remarkably flat brick arches, among the widest ever built in brick. The Great Western line still runs across it, now carrying Elizabeth line trains toward central London, and its straight track cuts cleanly through the street pattern.
On a Maidenhead map poster the contrast between water and town reads clearly: the soft, irregular line of the Thames on one side, the compact centre with its ring of roads in the middle, and the M4 motorway corridor passing to the south. The town is defined by its river and by its routes to London, and the map shows both at once.

North of the centre the Thames divides around islands at Boulter's Lock, one of the best-known locks on the river, where channels, weirs and footpaths form a fine tangle of lines.
Beyond the centre, streets unfold toward Cox Green and Pinkneys Green in crescents and cul-de-sacs, a dense, textured field that contrasts with the open meadows along the river.

Por qué Maidenhead
A Maidenhead map suits anyone who has commuted over Brunel's bridge, rowed past Boulter's Lock or grown up in the streets west of the river. It is a quiet, recognisable image: the Thames and the town shaped around it, drawn without labels competing for attention.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, so the poster can mark a home address, a wedding by the river or a moving date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, framed if you like.
