Creve Coeur Lake
A long, curving oxbow lake left behind by the Missouri River, set inside a large county park. Its crescent outline and surrounding trails give the poster an unmistakable focal shape.

El mapa
Maryland Heights sits in west St. Louis County, where the suburban street pattern meets the floodplain of the Missouri River. On a map the eastern half is a familiar mix of looping residential lanes, business parks and highway interchanges, while the western half opens into flat, sparsely gridded bottomland with long field roads and levees.
Interstate 270 forms a strong north–south spine along the eastern side, and Page Avenue cuts westward across the lowland toward the river crossing into St. Charles County. Between them sits Creve Coeur Lake, an old oxbow of the Missouri whose elongated outline is one of the most recognisable shapes in the county. Westport Plaza and the large outdoor amphitheatre add their own clusters of parking and access roads.
The city was incorporated only in 1985, which shows in the plan: there is no historic grid, just subdivisions and commercial campuses laid out around the roads that already existed. A Maryland Heights map poster captures that contrast, with dense suburban linework on one side and the quiet, open geometry of the river bottoms on the other.

West of the built-up area the land flattens into floodplain crossed by straight farm roads and levees, a sparse field of lines that contrasts with the suburban streets to the east.
The beltway runs along the eastern edge of the city, its interchanges drawing clean cloverleaf and ramp shapes that frame the neighbourhoods and office parks beside them.

Por qué Maryland Heights
Maryland Heights is where many people in the St. Louis area work, live or spend summer evenings at concerts and on the lake trails. A map of it records a very specific piece of the metro: the edge where suburb gives way to river country.
Add a personal title, a subtitle such as a street or neighbourhood, and a date or coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster, framed or unframed.
