Airport runways
The runways of Chennai International Airport are the largest shapes on the map. They cross the open ground as long, straight bars that stand out sharply against the smaller street pattern around them.

El mapa
From above, Meenambakkam is defined by contrast. On one side, the wide, empty geometry of Chennai International Airport spreads out as long runways, taxiways and aprons. On the other, a close grain of residential lanes and small blocks fills the ground up to the airport's edge. Few neighbourhoods show such a clear line between built-up streets and deliberately open land.
The locality sits in the southern part of the Chennai metropolitan area, in Tamil Nadu, along the main road and rail corridor that runs south from the city centre toward Tambaram. Suburban railway tracks and the Grand Southern Trunk Road run side by side here. On a map they form strong parallel lines that give the surrounding streets a sense of direction.
A Meenambakkam map poster turns this meeting of runway and neighbourhood into a composition of long straight strokes and fine detail. The airport reads as bold, clean shapes, while the neighbouring streets add texture around them. It suits anyone who has lived here, worked at the airport, or remembers Chennai as the place where a journey started or ended.
The runways of Chennai International Airport are the largest shapes on the map. They cross the open ground as long, straight bars that stand out sharply against the smaller street pattern around them.
The Grand Southern Trunk Road and the suburban railway line run close together through the area. Together they make a strong axis linking Meenambakkam to central Chennai in the north and Tambaram in the south.
Beyond the airport boundary, the map fills with a dense network of short lanes and small blocks. This finer texture balances the wide, empty spaces of the airfield.

Por qué Meenambakkam
For many people, Meenambakkam is the first or last glimpse of Chennai: the runway seen from a window seat, or the road home from arrivals. For residents it is simply their neighbourhood, set beside one of the region's busiest gateways. A map of it holds both of those meanings.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a flight date or a year you lived nearby. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint works especially well with the technical lines of the runways.
