El mapa
Negotin is the main town of the Negotinska Krajina in eastern Serbia, close to where the Timok River meets the Danube and where Serbia borders both Romania and Bulgaria. Its centre is a compact grid of streets on flat ground, with the plains towards the Danube to the north-east and low vine-covered hills in the other directions.
The area is one of Serbia's oldest wine regions. Nearby, the villages of Rajac and Rogljevo are known for their pivnice, groups of stone wine cellars built outside the villages themselves. Negotin is also the birthplace of the composer Stevan Mokranjac, and his family house is now a museum.
A Negotin map poster shows a tidy town centre with roads spreading outwards into farmland and vineyards. It is a modest, balanced composition, fitting for a place that is known far more for its wine, its music and its frontier position than for its size.
The town's central streets form a fairly regular grid on level ground. They make a dense, readable core on the poster.
To the north-east the land flattens towards the Danube and the Timok confluence, where Serbia meets Romania and Bulgaria.
Roads run out to villages in the surrounding hills, including those known for clustered stone wine cellars, part of the region's long winemaking tradition.

Por qué Negotin
For those from the Krajina, or anyone who has visited for the wine or the Mokranjac music days, this poster shows the town as a clear, calm drawing. It fits a kitchen, a study or a wine corner.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper gives the map a warm, archival look that suits the area's long history.
