The old quarter
At the centre, lanes and small plots form a dense, complicated pattern. This is where the town's religious and historic buildings are clustered.

El mapa
Qadian Map Poster & Print
Qadian is in Gurdaspur district, in the northern part of Indian Punjab, on the flat plain between the Beas and the Ravi. It is known worldwide as the birthplace of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, who founded the Ahmadiyya movement in the late nineteenth century. It remains a place of pilgrimage for Ahmadi Muslims, and each year it hosts a large annual gathering, the Jalsa Salana.
From above, the old town is a dense cluster of narrow lanes and closely built houses. The White Minaret, the Minaratul Masih, stands among them. Around the core, newer neighbourhoods, schools and institutional buildings spread outward. Beyond them lie the fields of the Punjab plain, crossed by straight roads and irrigation channels.
A Qadian map poster brings together the tight historic centre and the regular farmland around it. The contrast is clear: an intricate, inward-looking street pattern surrounded by the broad geometry of agriculture. For many people around the world, the town's shape is familiar from photographs and visits.

White Minaret
The Minaratul Masih rises from the heart of the old town. It is the most recognised landmark in Qadian and the centre point of many visits.
Plain and canals
Beyond the town, straight roads and irrigation channels divide the flat land into regular fields, typical of the Punjab countryside.

Por qué Qadian
Un mapa con significado
For Ahmadi Muslims around the world, Qadian has deep significance, and many who attend the Jalsa Salana want to remember the visit. For local families, it is simply home. Both find meaning in seeing the town's shape.
Add a title, a subtitle such as the year of a Jalsa you attended, and the coordinates. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand bring a soft warmth to the dense old quarter.
