The landscape here is shaped by long, parallel ridges running northwest to southeast, with flat, cultivated ground between them. From above, the town sits on that valley floor, and its streets are laid out between farmland and the rising slopes.
The settlement is modest in size, and its map is uncomplicated: a central area with denser lanes, newer blocks at the edges and roads leading along the valley to neighbouring towns.
