The Isère River
The river runs along the town's southern side in broad curves. It separates Saint-Égrève from the opposite bank and guides the valley's layout.

El mapa
Saint-Égrève Map Poster & Print
Saint-Égrève lies just northwest of Grenoble, on the right bank of the Isère, where the river leaves the city and heads down its valley. From above, the town shows a clear contrast. Flat, densely built land stretches along the river and the motorway, while mountains rise abruptly behind the last streets.
Those mountains belong to the Chartreuse massif. The prominent cliffs of the Néron stand above the town and limit its growth to the north. Neighbourhoods fill the narrow strip between the slopes and the Isère. A dense network of roads and rail lines follows the valley towards Voiron and Lyon.
A Saint-Égrève map poster captures this compressed Alpine geography. There is the river's long curve, the tight band of streets and the open space where the mountains take over. In a minimalist print, the steep edge of the Chartreuse becomes the quiet frame of the whole design.

Chartreuse slopes
Steep mountainsides, including the cliffs of the Néron, close off the town to the north. On the map, they appear as a clear line where the streets stop.
Valley corridor
Roads and railways follow the valley floor out of Grenoble. Together they form parallel lines that run through the town.
