El mapa
Turgutlu sits in the broad valley of the Gediz River, east of Manisa and inland from Izmir. From above it looks like a compact town on level farmland, with the ground rising steadily to the south toward the Bozdağ mountains. On paper the contrast is clear: a dense knot of streets to the north, and a quieter band of slopes and orchards closing the frame.
For much of its modern history the town was called Kasaba. It gave its name to the Izmir–Kasaba railway, one of the earliest lines built in Anatolia in the nineteenth century. The track still runs through the town on its way up the valley. On a map it draws a firm, steady line, and the neighbourhoods have grown up along it.
A Turgutlu map poster shows how an agricultural town arranges itself on a plain: a main road heading toward Manisa and Salihli, a tight centre of short blocks, and newer housing spreading outward in looser rows. In black and white the pattern is modest and easy to read. It is a portrait of a working place rather than a showpiece.
The town lies on the wide, flat floor of the Gediz valley. Hills and slopes barely interrupt its streets, which fade gradually into the surrounding field boundaries.
The old Izmir–Kasaba line crosses Turgutlu. Its steady track gives the map a strong straight element, and the smaller residential streets are arranged around it.
To the south the land climbs toward the Bozdağ range. The street pattern thins out where the slopes begin, which gives the poster a natural edge.

Por qué Turgutlu
A map of Turgutlu suits someone who grew up in the Gediz valley, or whose family still travels back for holidays. It is a quiet reminder of a particular town rather than a famous skyline. The plain black lines sit easily in a hallway, study or kitchen.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed to add a family name, a date or a street. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download HD files for $9, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
