Zaslawye Map Poster & Print

Zaslawye, also written Zaslawl, lies just northwest of Minsk in Belarus. It is one of the oldest towns in the country: tradition links its founding to the late tenth century, when Prince Vladimir of Kyiv is said to have settled his wife Rogneda and their son Iziaslav here, and the town took its early name, Iziaslavl, from him.

Today the town's map combines this deep history with modern growth. Old earthworks, the remains of early fortifications and a historic church area sit near the Svislach river, while newer housing districts spread out along the roads to Minsk. The large Zaslawye Reservoir, often called the Minsk Sea, stretches to the south.

A Zaslawye map poster captures that layering: the older core with its curved streets and green spaces, the planned apartment districts, rail lines, and the broad shape of the reservoir. It is a composed, readable image for anyone who knows the town or the lakeside weekends near Minsk.
