Southern coastline
Seram's shoreline curves along the edge of the map. Its bays and small headlands give the composition its strongest outline.

La carte
Amahai Map Poster & Print
Amahai lies on the southern coast of Seram, one of the larger islands of Maluku in eastern Indonesia, in the Central Maluku regency. It sits close to Masohi, the regency's administrative centre, and the two form the main cluster of settlement on this stretch of shore. Their waters open south toward the Banda Sea.
On a map, the settlement follows the coast in a long, narrow band. Roads run parallel to the shore, with shorter lanes leading down to the water and inland toward gardens and forest. Behind this thin line of streets, the interior of Seram rises into mountains that have very few roads.
An Amahai map poster is a study in edges: a sharp coastline on one side, a fringe of houses and roads in the middle, and open ground behind. The simple layout gives the print a calm, spacious feel. Depending on the style, the sea becomes a broad field of pale or dark tone.

Settlement along the shore
Houses and streets run along the coast in a narrow ribbon. The pattern is typical of island towns where there is little flat land between the sea and the hills.
Near Masohi
The neighbouring town of Masohi is close by. A wider frame can take in both and show how settlement on this coast links up along a single road.

Pourquoi Amahai
Une carte qui a du sens
Maluku rarely appears on printed wall maps, which is why a map of Amahai means something to people from the islands. It keeps the outline of the shore and the streets of home in view, wherever life has taken them.
Write a family name or the year you left into the title, subtitle and coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint gives the sea a deep, oceanic presence, while Paper suits a gentler room.
