Amontada Map Poster & Print
Amontada lies on the west coast of Ceará in northeastern Brazil, a few hours' drive from Fortaleza. The municipal seat is a small inland town with a simple grid of streets. Most of the municipality's map, however, is taken up by the land between the town and the sea: sandy terrain, patches of scrub, small lagoons, and roads and tracks that run towards the coastal villages.
The coastline is the most distinctive feature. Long, straight beaches with dunes behind them are broken by river mouths and rocky points. Along this shore, Icaraí de Amontada has become known internationally as a kitesurfing destination, thanks to steady trade winds for much of the year. Fishing villages and small resorts sit close to the sand.
An Amontada map poster offers two scenes in one: a compact inland town and a sweeping Atlantic coastline. The empty spaces between them are part of the picture, showing how much of this land remains open. It makes a good memento for kitesurfers, for families from the town, and for anyone who knows the Ceará coast.

Dune country
Sandy ground, lagoons and scrub lie between the coast and the town. Only a few roads cross this area, which leaves wide, quiet areas on the print.
Town grid
The municipal seat inland has a small, regular street pattern, and it stands out clearly against the open land around it.

Pourquoi Amontada
Une carte qui a du sens
Kitesurfers who return to this coast every season often want a reminder of the wind and water between trips. Families from Amontada want a clear picture of home. The map works for both, and the coast gives it a strong visual line.
Title the print Amontada or Icaraí, and add a season or year in the subtitle. Sand is a natural choice for dune country, and Blueprint gives the sea more weight. Printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame, and digital files cost $9.
