Mahalla courtyards
Low houses built around inner courtyards form small, dense blocks with narrow lanes. This traditional Uzbek residential pattern gives parts of the map a fine grain.

Bektemir Map Poster & Print
Bektemir is one of the districts of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and sits on the city's south-eastern edge. Its map is a patchwork. Low courtyard houses, larger apartment buildings, industrial plots and rail sidings are all fitted between the main roads that lead out of the capital. It feels more like a town on the city's rim than a central quarter.
As in much of the Tashkent oasis, water shapes the area. Irrigation canals and ditches thread between the streets and fields, and the Chirchiq river runs not far away, its floodplain greener than the ground around it. Beyond the district, farmland and orchards begin, so the map shows the point where the city gives way to cultivated land.
A Bektemir map poster suits people who know this district from the inside: the mahalla streets, the market, the long road into the centre. In black and white, an outer district gets the same clarity as the city's better-known neighbourhoods. The pattern of courtyards and canals stays easy to read at any size.

Irrigation canals
Canals and ditches run between streets and plots. These thin water lines trace the oasis irrigation system that has long supported farming around Tashkent.
Edge of the capital
Main roads out of Tashkent pass through the district. Beyond them the city thins into fields, orchards and industrial yards.

Pourquoi Bektemir
Une carte qui a du sens
Outer districts are often where families actually live, and Bektemir is home to many people whose streets never appear in guidebooks. A precise map of those streets makes a meaningful gift for someone who grew up here or has since moved abroad.
Add a title and subtitle of your choice and adjust the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, including Blueprint for a technical look or Paper for a softer tone, alongside Classic black & white, Noir and Sand. Then download 300 DPI files or order a matte print.
