Hilltop street pattern
The town's streets sit on higher ground and spread outward in an informal pattern. The small central area gives way quickly to scattered homes and farmland.

Biharamulo Map Poster & Print
Biharamulo is a district town in Tanzania's Kagera Region, in the rolling uplands southwest of Lake Victoria. On the map the town is modest in size, a loose network of streets set on raised ground. Its main roads run out across a landscape of low hills, woodland and cultivated plots rather than into any large urban sprawl.
The town has long served as a local administrative centre. Much of the surrounding woodland is protected, and the former Biharamulo Game Reserve now forms part of Burigi-Chato National Park. From above, this setting shows as a quiet, green-grey field around the settlement, broken by winding tracks and the occasional stream valley running between the hills.
A Biharamulo map poster is less about density than about setting. The town's streets form a small, clear cluster, and the roads leaving it bend with the terrain as they follow ridges and valleys toward neighbouring districts. Printed in black and white, it becomes a calm study of a highland town and the open country around it.

Roads through the hills
Main routes leave Biharamulo following the lie of the land, curving around hills and across valleys. This gives the map flowing lines instead of a rigid grid.
Protected woodland
Large areas of woodland around the town are protected, including land now within Burigi-Chato National Park. On the map they appear as wide, quiet spaces crossed by only a few tracks.

Pourquoi Biharamulo
Une carte qui a du sens
For anyone from Kagera, or anyone who has worked or travelled in this corner of Tanzania, the map is a reminder of a place far from the big cities. Its open composition sits well in a study or living room.
You can change the title and subtitle to add a name, a year or a short dedication, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, depending on whether you want the hills to feel crisp or soft.
