Port canal
A long straight channel runs from the edge of Catarroja to its small harbour on the Albufera. It is the most distinctive line on the map and leads the eye to the water.

Catarroja Map Poster & Print
Catarroja lies just south of Valencia, in the l'Horta Sud district, between the city's southern suburbs and the Albufera lagoon. Its map changes from west to east. The older town and its newer neighbourhoods form a dense grid near the main roads and railway. East of them, the streets give way to flat, green, carefully divided farmland.
Farther east, the land becomes the rice fields of the Albufera Natural Park. A long canal leads out from the town to the Port de Catarroja, a small traditional harbour on the edge of the lagoon, where flat-bottomed boats are still moored. On a map the canal is a strong, straight line pointing toward open water.
In October 2024 the town was one of the places hardest hit by the Valencia floods, when water poured down the Barranc del Poyo ravine. A Catarroja map poster holds together all these layers: streets, orchards, rice fields and the lagoon beyond.

Rice fields
East of town the land breaks into large rectangular rice paddies of the natural park. Their flat geometric pattern fills much of the frame toward the lagoon.
The Albufera
With a wider framing, the Albufera lagoon appears as a large open shape at the edge of the poster. It is an especially calm and striking feature.

Pourquoi Catarroja
Une carte qui a du sens
Catarroja is a place of deep attachment, from the orchards and paella traditions to the boats at the port. Since the 2024 floods, a map of the town has also become a way to show support and hold onto what matters.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Valencian, Spanish or English. Then choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint shows the lagoon and canals with particular clarity.
