Cebu Map Poster & Print
Cebu is one of the narrowest large islands in the Philippines, a thin band of land running north to south between the Tañon Strait and the Camotes Sea. A mountainous backbone runs down the middle, and most roads follow the coasts, so the island's map is drawn in two parallel lines of settlement with steep, lightly marked ground between them.
Halfway down the east coast, Metro Cebu breaks that pattern with a dense web of streets spreading along the shore and climbing into the hills behind it. Across a narrow channel lies Mactan Island, linked by several bridges and home to the international airport. It was on Mactan in 1521 that Ferdinand Magellan was killed in battle against the forces of Lapu-Lapu.
A Cebu map poster captures both scales at once: the long, quiet silhouette of the island and the concentrated grid of one of the country's oldest cities. Cebu City grew around the site where Magellan's Cross was planted, and its old centre still sits close to the port. Framed as a whole, the island has a strong vertical form that suits tall formats.

Mactan crossings
Several bridges span the narrow channel between Cebu and Mactan Island, drawing clear lines across the water between the city, the port and the airport.
Central highlands
A mountain chain runs along the island's centre, keeping most towns and roads on the coasts and leaving a lighter, open band down the middle of the map.

Pourquoi Cebu
Une carte qui a du sens
Cebu is a map of home for a large diaspora, and a record of travel for the many who have passed through its port and airport on the way to the Visayas. Its long vertical outline fits hallways and narrow walls particularly well.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a barangay, a family name or a wedding date, and set the coordinates line to a place that matters. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room.
