Chapadinha Map Poster & Print
Chapadinha lies in eastern Maranhão, in northeastern Brazil, where coastal lowlands give way to the chapadas, the flat-topped plateaus that give the town its name. On a map, it forms a fairly regular grid of blocks around a central square and church, a layout found in many towns of the Brazilian interior.
Around the town, the landscape is a mix of cerrado scrubland and farmland, including large mechanised fields that in recent decades have spread across parts of this region. Seasonal streams and valleys cut across the plateau, and roads run straight from the town toward neighbouring municipalities and the state capital, São Luís.
A Chapadinha map poster shows a regional centre with a clear shape: a grid of blocks, a few main roads leaving it and open land beyond. In black and white the image is spare and orderly, a quiet picture of a town that serves a wide rural area.

Plateau setting
The surrounding chapadas are broad, flat uplands. On the map they show as wide open areas crossed by a few straight roads and gentle valleys.
Outgoing roads
Main roads leave the town in long, direct lines toward the neighbouring municipalities and link Chapadinha to the rest of Maranhão.
