Central grid
The town is organised around a regular grid of blocks with a main square near its centre, a pattern that reads cleanly as small, evenly spaced rectangles on the map.

Chocope Map Poster & Print
Chocope lies in the La Libertad region of northern Peru, in the valley of the Chicama River a short distance inland from the Pacific. The surrounding land is flat and heavily farmed, and from above the town appears as a tight block of streets within a wide pattern of rectangular fields, irrigation channels and farm tracks that stretch toward the desert hills.
The Chicama valley has long been one of the country's sugarcane districts, and the agricultural landscape shapes everything around Chocope. The town itself follows the familiar Spanish colonial logic of a central square with a grid of blocks spreading outward, while the main road running north along the coast passes close by and links it to larger towns in the valley.
A Chocope map poster turns this into an image of contrast between the small, dense grid of the town and the open geometry of the fields around it. Canals and field boundaries make long straight lines across the page, and the roads leading out into the valley give the composition a clear sense of direction.

Irrigated fields
Around the town the valley floor is divided into large cultivated plots and irrigation channels, forming a quiet patchwork of straight lines on every side of the streets.
Valley roads
Roads leave Chocope in several directions across the flat Chicama plain, connecting it to neighbouring towns and giving the map a network of long, direct routes.
