The casbah
On the hillside above the harbour, the lanes of the old casbah twist and branch in short segments, forming the most intricate texture on the whole poster.

La carte
Dellys Map Poster & Print
Dellys lies on the Algerian coast in Boumerdès Province, east of Algiers, where a promontory pushes into the Mediterranean. From above, the town clings to the slope between hills and sea. A small harbour sits in the shelter of the headland, and the coastline beyond it runs in long, clean curves that give the map a strong outer edge.
The site has been occupied since antiquity, and it was known in Roman times as Rusuccuru. Its old casbah, a maze of narrow lanes on the hillside above the port, is the best-known part of the town and was badly damaged in the 2003 Boumerdès earthquake. Newer districts spread out along the coast and inland roads.
A Dellys map poster shows the town at the meeting point of land and water: the tight, irregular casbah, the more regular colonial-era streets, the harbour walls and the white expanse of the sea. The contrast between the dense old quarter and the empty water gives the print a calm, balanced feel.

Harbour and breakwater
The small port is marked by its protective walls, sharp straight lines set against the curve of the coast, sheltered by the headland on which the town stands.
Mediterranean coastline
The shore runs away east and west in long arcs, and the sea fills a large part of the frame, leaving the town as a compact shape on its edge.

Pourquoi Dellys
Une carte qui a du sens
For anyone with roots on the Kabyle coast, Dellys is a place of family summers, fishing boats and steep casbah lanes. The poster keeps that geography simple and recognisable, with the sea taking up almost half of the view.
Add a family name, a date or your own words to the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint and Noir make the coastline especially striking.
