La carte
Finchley Map Poster & Print
Finchley lies in the London Borough of Barnet, in north London, and it is really a group of neighbourhoods: Church End, East Finchley, North Finchley and Finchley Central among them. The map is built around old routes out of the city, above all the Great North Road, now the High Road, which runs north through the area lined with shops and terraces.
Across this pattern cuts the North Circular Road, a wide arterial route that splits Finchley roughly east to west and shows as one of the boldest lines on the map. The Northern line runs through too, with stations along its branches. Between the roads, Victorian, Edwardian and interwar streets fill the blocks, interrupted by parks and the green corridor of Dollis Brook.
Finchley is also known far beyond London as the constituency Margaret Thatcher represented in Parliament for more than three decades. A Finchley map poster, though, is about the place itself: the high streets, the curving suburban roads, the parks and brooks, and the arterial routes that tie this corner of London to the rest of the city.

North Circular
The North Circular crosses Finchley as a broad arterial road, dividing the map with one decisive line and carrying traffic around the north of London.
Dollis Brook corridor
Dollis Brook winds along the western side of the area, lined with green space and walking paths that show as a soft, sinuous band on the map.

Pourquoi Finchley
Une carte qui a du sens
Finchley is where many Londoners put down roots, raise children or buy a first home, and a map of the neighbourhood marks that chapter. Add a custom title, a subtitle naming your street or a date, and a coordinates line to pin the exact spot.
Noir works well in a London flat, and Classic black & white keeps the dense street pattern crisp. Download the HD files for $9 in six sizes, including 50×70 cm and 24×36″, or order a printed poster, framed or unframed.
