The Ducal Palace
The Borja family's palace sits at the heart of the historic town, surrounded by the tightest streets on the map, the oldest layer of Gandia's plan.

Gandia Map Poster & Print
Gandia appears on the map as two distinct places. The historic town stands a few kilometres inland beside the Serpis river, with a compact centre of irregular streets. On the coast, the Grau and the beach district form a second settlement, a tidy grid of blocks lined up behind the sand. Between them lies flat farmland and the roads that tie the two halves together.
The old town grew around the Ducal Palace of the Borja family, the dynasty better known in Italy as the Borgias. Saint Francis Borgia was born here, and the palace still anchors the centre. Around it the medieval lanes give way to straighter nineteenth and twentieth-century extensions, while the Serpis curves along the edge of the town on its way to the sea.
A Gandia map poster frames both halves at once: the dense historic core, the open fields in between, and the long, clean line of the coast with the harbour breakwaters at the river mouth. It is a useful reminder that many Mediterranean towns turned toward the sea only in the last century, and the map shows exactly where that shift happened.

The Serpis river
The river bends past the old town and runs out to the coast, a single curving line that connects the inland centre with the harbour at the Grau.
Beach grid and port
Along the shore, apartment blocks form a regular grid parallel to the long sandy beach, while the port's breakwaters reach out into the sea at the river mouth.

Pourquoi Gandia
Une carte qui a du sens
Gandia is where many families from Valencia and Madrid have spent summers for decades, and where others live year round. A map that shows both the old town and the beach captures the whole routine: market mornings inland, afternoons by the sea.
You can title it with a family name or a summer, add a date in the subtitle and adjust the coordinates line. Choose among five styles; Blueprint works well for a coastal plan, while Classic black & white keeps the old town crisp.
