La carte
Gujar Khan Map Poster & Print
Gujar Khan lies in Rawalpindi District, on the Potohar Plateau between Rawalpindi and Jhelum. From above, the most striking thing is the land around it. The plateau is cut by ravines and seasonal streams, so fields and villages sit on flatter ground between eroded gullies. The Grand Trunk Road and the railway run through the town.
The town grew as a market and transport centre on this historic route. Its older bazaar area is dense, with narrow streets. Newer housing extends along the main road and out toward the surrounding villages. The area is known in Pakistan for the many people from local families who have served in the armed forces or moved abroad.
A Gujar Khan map poster shows the town set against the plateau. The strong straight line of the Grand Trunk Road cuts across the frame, the bazaar sits close beside it, and the irregular pattern of roads and streams shaped by the terrain lies all around.

Bazaar quarter
The older commercial core is packed with narrow streets and small plots. It forms the darkest, most detailed area of the frame.
Potohar ravines
Around the town, the plateau is broken by gullies and seasonal channels. They give the rural surroundings a branching, uneven pattern.

Pourquoi Gujar Khan
Une carte qui a du sens
Many families from Gujar Khan now live in the UK, the Gulf and elsewhere. A map of the town, and perhaps the family village nearby, is a thoughtful way to keep that connection visible at home.
Set the title and subtitle to name a village, a family or a year, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the dry plateau.
