Toward the Orontes
The lowland beyond Hıdırbey belongs to the Orontes basin. It is a wide, flat stretch where roads straighten out and field boundaries fall into a looser grid than the lanes of the settlement.

Hıdırbey Map Poster & Print
Hıdırbey sits in the southern part of Hatay province, near the city of Antakya. From above it doesn't look like a planned town. It reads as a loose web of lanes following the land, with houses grouped along the roads and gaps in between where gardens and orchards take over. The streets bend with the slopes instead of forming blocks.
The wider setting is what gives the map its structure. To the north and east the land opens toward the valley of the Orontes, the river the Turks call the Asi. That river shaped ancient Antioch and still defines the lowland around it. Toward the west and south the ground rises into hills, and the road lines start to climb and wind.
A Hıdırbey map poster shows this edge between plain and upland in clean black lines. The province was hit hard by the February 2023 earthquakes, and for many families these streets now carry memory as well as geography. A map of the place records its layout plainly, without commentary, as a fixed reference to a particular corner of southern Turkey.

Hillside lanes
Inside the settlement the streets curve and fork with the terrain. The result is an organic pattern of short segments that looks delicate on paper, with no dominant axis.
Near Antakya
The dense street fabric of Antakya lies a short distance away. With a wider framing, the poster can show Hıdırbey as part of the ancient city's wider hinterland.

Pourquoi Hıdırbey
Une carte qui a du sens
Some people hang this map because they grew up here or have family in these lanes. Others hang it because Hatay matters to them in a way that is hard to put into words. A plain map of the streets can hold that feeling without saying anything loud.
You can set the title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and the coordinates line yourself. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The warmer tones of Paper and Sand suit the orchard country particularly well.
