Sheshui river
The river runs past the town on its way south toward the Yangtze. Its course gives the poster a gentle, flowing line through the built-up area.

La carte
Huangpi Map Poster & Print
Huangpi is a district in the north of Wuhan, in Hubei province, and its main town lies on the plain north of the Yangtze. On the map it looks very different from central Wuhan: a compact town centre surrounded by water, fields and villages. The Sheshui river passes alongside the town, and lakes and ponds fill much of the low ground around it.
Wuhan Tianhe International Airport lies within the district, south of the town centre, and its long runways are among the most geometric features in the wider area. Expressways and rail lines connect Huangpi with the rest of Wuhan, drawing straight corridors through a landscape otherwise shaped by water and farmland.
To the north, the land rises toward Mulan Mountain, an area linked to the legend of Hua Mulan and now a popular scenic area. A Huangpi map poster focuses on the district's main town and its setting: the river, the lakes and the surrounding fields, drawn in clean black lines that keep the water shapes clear.

Lakes and ponds
Bodies of water of many sizes dot the low ground around the town. On paper they appear as irregular shapes that break up the fields and streets.
Road and rail links
Expressways and rail lines tie Huangpi to central Wuhan, crossing the plain in long straight lines that give the composition a firm structure.
