Kesinga is a town in the Kalahandi district of western Odisha, set in open, mostly flat agricultural country. On a map it reads as a compact settlement with the railway running through it. The railway is the town's defining feature. Kesinga station lies on the line linking Raipur with Vizianagaram, and much of the town's trade in grain and local produce has moved along that route.
