Highway corridor
The main road between Moshi and the coast runs straight through Lembeni, and much of the settlement is built directly along it, giving the map a linear shape.

La carte
Lembeni Map Poster & Print
Lembeni lies in the Kilimanjaro region of northern Tanzania, in the Mwanga district, on the lowland plain to the west of the North Pare Mountains. From above, the settlement stretches along the main road that runs between Moshi and the coast, with houses and plots lining the route rather than forming a single compact centre.
The railway line from Moshi towards Tanga follows the same corridor, so the map is dominated by two long, near-parallel lines with the settlement gathered between and beside them. To the east the ground rises towards the mountains, and to the west it opens into drier plains with scattered farms and tracks.
A Lembeni map poster captures a place shaped by movement: the road, the railway and the paths that feed into them from surrounding farms. The linear form is unusual and gives the print a distinctive, elongated composition.

Railway alongside
The railway runs close to the road, forming a second strong line that reinforces the long north–south orientation of the town.
Foot of the Pare Mountains
To the east the land rises towards the North Pare range, and the map shows tracks and plots thinning out as the slopes begin.
