Two centres
The historic town sits inland, while Puerto de Mazarrón lies on the coast. Roads link the two across open ground, framing the map around both.

Mazarrón Map Poster & Print
Mazarrón lies on the coast of the Region of Murcia, and its map has two main centres. The historic town sits a few kilometres inland, with compact streets around the church and town hall. On the coast, Puerto de Mazarrón has grown around its harbour, with streets following the bays and headlands. Between them, roads cross dry, hilly land with greenhouses and farms.
The area has a long mining history, especially for lead, silver and alum, and old workings still mark the hills. Two Phoenician shipwrecks were discovered off the coast, among the oldest of their kind found in the western Mediterranean. Near Bolnuevo, wind and water have carved the soft sandstone into unusual shapes known as the Erosions of Bolnuevo.
A Mazarrón map poster links the inland town with the sea. The coastline, with its coves and headlands, gives it a strong edge, and the space between the two centres adds breadth. It is a composition full of contrasts: dense streets, open hills and a long curving shore.

Indented coastline
Coves, bays and headlands shape the shore around the port. They give the poster a lively, irregular edge against the sea.
Mining hills
The dry hills around the town still show traces of historic mining. On the map, they appear as quiet, sparsely built terrain between the centres.
