Miguel Alves Map Poster & Print
Miguel Alves is a municipality in northern Piauí, north of the state capital Teresina, on the right bank of the Parnaíba River. Here the river forms the border with Maranhão, so the town looks across the water toward another state. The lowlands of the Parnaíba valley have shaped both its economy and its layout, and the riverbank acts as the town's natural edge.
From above, the urban area forms a compact grid set back from the water, with longer roads leading inland to rural districts. The Parnaíba itself dominates the map. It is a broad band with bends, sandbanks and islands that shift with the seasons. Around the town the land is mostly open, marked by farm tracks and scattered communities.
A Miguel Alves map poster gives the river the space it deserves. The wide, curving water set against the orderly town streets makes a balanced composition. The poster is a reminder of home for families who have moved to Teresina, São Paulo or further, and for anyone with ties to the Parnaíba valley.

A state border
The river marks the line between Piauí and Maranhão, so the far bank on the poster belongs to a different state, a detail locals know well.
Riverside grid
The town's streets form a regular pattern set back from the bank. They give the map a clear built core beside the looser shapes of water and countryside.
