Nefas Mewch’a Map Poster & Print
Nefas Mewch’a is a town in the South Gondar zone of the Amhara Region in northern Ethiopia, and the administrative centre of Lay Gayint district. It stands high on the Ethiopian plateau in open, exposed country, and its name, which in Amharic refers to the wind, suits the setting. From above, the town is a loose cluster of streets on high ground.
The map shows a modest centre along the main road, with smaller streets and compounds branching away from it before the built area fades into fields. Around it, the highland landscape is a mosaic of farmland and ridges, crossed by tracks linking scattered villages. It is a working rural centre rather than a large city.
A Nefas Mewch’a map poster keeps the design as simple as the place itself: a central spine, a network of side streets and plenty of open space. That restraint gives the poster an airy, uncluttered look, and it frames the town honestly as a small settlement in a very large landscape.

Main road spine
A principal road runs through the town and anchors its layout, with most streets and buildings arranged along it or branching off to either side.
Rural tracks
Beyond the town, thin tracks thread across fields and ridges to nearby villages, adding fine lines that carry the eye outward toward the plateau.
