La carte
Putten Map Poster & Print
Putten lies on the northwestern edge of the Veluwe in Gelderland, in the centre of the Netherlands, between the Veluwe woodlands and the lower land toward the Randmeren lakes. The map shows a compact village core with roads radiating outward, surrounded by residential districts and then a patchwork of farmland, hamlets and forest.
Putten holds a heavy place in Dutch memory. In October 1944, after a resistance attack nearby, German forces raided the village and deported hundreds of its men to concentration camps, most of whom did not return. The event is commemorated each year, and a memorial in the village marks the loss. Today the municipality is also known for holiday parks set among the woods.
A Putten map poster shows a place where village and landscape remain closely linked. Radiating roads, quiet residential streets and the fragmented pattern of woods, fields and lanes produce a balanced composition. For those with family ties to Putten, it can also be a way to honour its history with quiet respect.

Veluwe woodland
Forests to the east and south of the village leave broad open areas on the map, broken only by winding paths and scattered clearings.
Farmland patchwork
Toward the west and north, fields, farmsteads and hamlets create a loose network of lanes that is typical of the rural Gelderland landscape.
