Qandala Map Poster & Print
Qandala lies on the northern coast of Somalia's Bari region, facing the Gulf of Aden. It is a settlement with long roots, and its life has always been tied to the sea, to fishing and to coastal trade. From above the built-up area is compact, a cluster of low streets pressed close to the water, with open land stretching away on every other side.
Behind the town the land rises into dry, rugged hills, part of the mountains that run along the northern coast of the Horn of Africa. Seasonal watercourses cut down through them toward the sea, and on a map their channels form faint branching lines across the coastal strip. The coast is the strongest line on the map, a clean edge between land and the open gulf.
Because the town is small and the surrounding landscape so open, the map works best as a close portrait showing the lanes, the tracks leading out along the coast and the empty terrain beyond. A Qandala map poster keeps that balance of settlement and space, which feels right for a place defined by sea and mountains.

Pourquoi Qandala
Une carte qui a du sens
For people from Qandala and the wider Bari region, including those living far away, a map of the home town keeps its shape close: the shore, the lanes, the road out along the coast. It is a quiet, specific keepsake rather than a souvenir.
Add a title and subtitle in your own words, such as a family name or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and order a digital file or a printed poster.
