Large industrial and logistics estates appear as broad rectangles with wide service roads, while citrus groves and dry farmland break the rest of the municipality into small irregular parcels. Much of the riverbank belongs to the Turia natural park, which reads on paper as a long, unbuilt corridor threading between the built-up areas.
The area has been lived in for a very long time; the remains of Pla de Nadal, a Visigothic-era residence, lie within the municipality.
