La carte
Rijen Map Poster & Print
Rijen lies in the west of North Brabant, roughly between Breda and Tilburg, and together with neighbouring Gilze forms the municipality of Gilze en Rijen. On the map it looks like a typical Dutch village that has grown outward in layers: an older centre, then neat postwar neighbourhoods, and around them woodland, fields and heath.
The railway between Breda and Tilburg crosses the village, and the station gives Rijen a clear focal point. To the south lies Gilze-Rijen Air Base, a military airfield whose long runways and taxiways make one of the most striking shapes in the area, a set of straight bold strokes against the softer residential streets.
A Rijen map poster captures that contrast neatly. Curving cul-de-sacs and small crescents sit next to the rigid geometry of the rail line and the airfield, and patches of forest fill the gaps. It is an ordinary, well-ordered Brabant place, and seen from above it has a surprisingly graphic quality.

Breda–Tilburg railway
The rail line cuts cleanly through Rijen, with the station near the centre and residential neighbourhoods laid out on both sides of the tracks.
Woods and heath
Pockets of forest and open heath around the village break up the street pattern and give the edges of the map a softer texture.

Pourquoi Rijen
Une carte qui a du sens
A map of Rijen appeals to people who live in the village, grew up there or once served at the airbase. The mix of quiet residential curves and hard runway lines makes a composition that works well on a wall, even for those who never visited.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a moving-in date, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Files come in six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF.
