Housing estate curves
Planned residential areas bring looping streets and cul-de-sacs. They contrast clearly with the narrower, irregular lanes of older neighbourhoods around them.

La carte
Sawangan Map Poster & Print
Sawangan is on the western side of Depok in West Java, part of the wide urban belt that has grown south of Jakarta. From above it doesn't have one centre. Instead you see a loose network of main roads with smaller lanes branching off them, and housing estates of different sizes filling the land between.
Much of the district's shape comes from recent growth. Planned residential clusters with curved internal streets sit beside older kampung lanes that follow the lie of the land. Small bodies of water and patches of open ground still appear across the wider Depok area, breaking up the built fabric on a map.
A Sawangan map poster shows this in-between character well: denser around the main roads, looser toward the edges, and without the rigid grid of older colonial cities. For people living here, the map records a place many chose for more space and quieter streets within reach of the capital.

Arterial roads
A few main roads carry traffic through the district toward central Depok and Jakarta. Everything else hangs off these routes like branches.
Open land and water
Scattered ponds and green patches still interrupt the urban fabric. These lighter gaps give the poster more room than a fully built-up city would have.

Pourquoi Sawangan
Une carte qui a du sens
Sawangan is where many families have bought their first home, which makes the map a natural housewarming gift or a record of a particular street and year. It shows the neighbourhood as it is, not as a tourist sees it.
Add a household name, a move-in date or the coordinates of your own street to the title, subtitle and coordinates line. Then choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
