Polder fields
Reclaimed land around the village is divided into rectangular fields by straight ditches and dikes, a precise pattern typical of the lower Scheldt region.

Stabroek Map Poster & Print
Stabroek lies in the far north of Antwerp Province, close to the border with the Netherlands. From above, the village and its neighbouring parishes sit in a remarkably flat landscape of polders, reclaimed from marshland along the Scheldt, where fields are divided by straight drainage ditches and dikes.
To the west, the land gives way to the enormous docks and industrial sites of the Port of Antwerp, whose geometric basins make an extraordinary contrast with the rural fields. The village streets themselves are modest, arranged along a few main roads, with residential areas extending outward into the countryside.
A Stabroek map poster shows the tension between these two landscapes: the quiet, ordered polder and the vast, engineered port on its doorstep. The straight lines of dikes, roads and ditches give the composition a crisp, graphic quality.

Port of Antwerp
The docks and basins of one of Europe's largest ports lie to the west, forming large, angular water shapes on the edge of the map.
Border country
The Dutch border runs just north of the municipality, and the landscape continues seamlessly across it, flat, open and crossed by long roads.
